I'm thinking about getting my hair cut into a bob but then its taken so long for me to grow it for the summer and for my formal. I'm not sure what to do but someone said its best for my hair to get more fresh and cut all those old split locks off. What do you think? I have no idea!

I think you should do whatever it is makes you feel the best. It sounds like you invested a significant amount of time into growing your hair out. If you were to cut it now it's feasable you could be sideswiped by frustration. On the other hand the bob cut is simply adorable, I'm certain you'd look lovely. Couple things you could do, one would be to wait then cut your hair after any events you were growing it out for. Secondly would be to photoshop said hair cut onto one of your photographs you have(preferably recent) then get an idea of just what it would look like. Either way, I wish you the best of luck.

Dont cut it all off! I know how it feels to take my hair to grow out...belive me, mines been @ the same length for like a year and a half!!! Ive been doing hair since high school %26amp; it is VERY healthy to keep your split ends trimmed(they say every 4-6 weeks, depeinding on your hair) because if you dont keep it trimmed the hairshaft splits %26amp; makes it look damaged and fried. Try trimming about a 1/2-an inch off before you make any crazy decisions! That will give you and idea of how much healthier it will look. At the same time, Bobs are way cute %26amp; definately in right now! if you have the right face shape it would look wonderful too! As far as the formal that you are talking about that youve grown your hair out for-remember that there are also several other things you can do-cute short "updo's"-like Reece Witherspoons in Sweet Home Alabama-the night she gets married, or there are also extensions. they are kinda expensive-and if you want to use a curling iron or any kind of heat on it-dont get synthetic hair! it will melt, and theres no fixin that! I did my friends hair for her wedding %26amp; her hair is right before touching her shoulders-so we got some clip in extensions %26amp; her hair looked gorgeous! Just find the right stylist for you!! Good luck in whatever you decide!!
