Semi formal :)?

so my semi formal is coming up really soon and i need help deciding how to do my hair and makeup.my dress is a deep purple color with gold shimmer. it comes abouve my knees and it had spaghetti staps with gold jewels on it.

what make up and hairstyle would go well with the dress? i have long platinum blonde hair blue eyes and slightly tanned (but pretty fair) skin. also i was thinking gold jewelery and gold flats...would that work?

Semi formal :)?

ahh, that sounds really pretty!

gold jewelry would look great. and flats are perfect.

do your makeup like you normally would, but make your eyes a little darker. i suggest you use liquid mascara if you don't already and line you top lid. smear it with gray eyeshadow for a smoky look. you may think this sounds ugly, but it's really pretty if you line your bottom eye in a light blue kohl. it will really bring out the color of your eye. only line half of the bottom (the outside corner of your eye and inward) and smear it lightly with a q-tip. and don't use purple; you're never supposed to wear the same color eye makeup as your outfit.

and this hairstyle would be gorgeous!

the ends are just curled and pinned up, and the front has been teased. it's simple enough that you could do it, but will look very elegant.

i hope you have fun!

Sounds beautiful. Not too much jewelry...just a touch for class. Do smoky purple eyes with sparkle on the eyes and shoulders.

You can wear a black shoe as well as the gold flats. It's whatever is comfortable for you. I would wear my hair half up and in a bun with ringlets falling down around the face and the rest over the shoulder. Sounds like a nice time and I hope you have a great time. Dance and enjoy your youth, it ends too soon. Miss Mary

That sounds very pretty. For makeup I would use a light shimmer on the lips, maybe with a raspberry tint, deep purple on my lids with gold accents (like, do the lid purple with a metallic gold liner on the top lid and crease), brown mascara and just a tiny bit of brown liner on your lower lashes. Put a slight pink blush on the cheeks, like you just had a work out.

Hope I helped :]

It depends on the cut of dress but when in doubt wear it up with some tendrils hanging down in the back andfront sides. the best shadow to use would be lt grey on lid deeper blue in crease and white pearl under brow. millani also has liner with gold sparkle in it that would look nice. soft black or navy mascarawould look fine also. jewelry and flats in gold as long as they are tasteful.
