How should I do my hair for this?

My friend is having her birthday on a boat, there's going to be about 15 pple there and we're all about 15, 16, or 17. It's guys and girls and were dressing semi-formal and I'm wearing a dress but I dont know how to do my hair. Since its semi-formal I want it down but I want it to look a little fancy...Any ideas?

curl it with a curling iron, or hot rollers, or just straiten it, or put half up half down

Big relaxed curls all over would be cute with your bangs to one side, if you have them!

You should maybe part your hair a bit to the side, and have about four braids on the higher side, small braids though nothing huge.

:3

It might look cool.

yeah, wear it down but have a lot of curls. that would look great

Do it like Hilary Duff does her hair in "A Cinderella Story" when she's at the dance. Like in this picture:

If you have long hair, try a french twist, its casual yet formal enough for such an event. If you have short hair, curl it, but not too much and have it form around your face. It adds to the structure of your face. It will give you a 'sassy' look, the long hair suggestion will make you look more sophisticated. Good Luck and have fun for me too...lol... :-)

ok, well its on a boat so i would either try curls so that if its windy your hair wont mess up or if you have bangs a side ponytail with curled ends and your bangs styled to the side with a silver headband (that one's my favorite).

i love this hairstyle... just make your bangs a little bigger in top!

How should I do my hair for this?

curl your hair first then pull it up in a pony,,,, you dont want your hair in your face on a boat so do the do girl.

You should definately sport an updo. Have a french roll in the back and a fountain of curls in the top and front. Adjust style to fit face!

ya keep it down with some curls and something in hair like flowers or a flower or a few flowers where you could pull one out when you want to get flirty

On the water you are going to have moisture, so updo it and make curls that you can pin with hairpins to keep them in place and find a really stiff hairspray. Aussie Mega Hold works good for me. If you want curls that even moisture won't hurt find a hairpiece that matches your hair even if the color is not perfect when your hair is up it is not so noticable (or color to match it), just put some silk flowers around the hairpiece (small to med. ones of course, unless you are dressing hawiian style). There are some really inexpensive hairpieces out there, Goodie has a real cut one that fits on your ponytail (like the band holding it) and has curls. I just put my hair in a ponytail with the hairpiece over it then I take the ends of my hair and roll in up and tuck it under the hairpiece then pin it in place and add a few small flowers or tie a small ribbon on a hairpin cut the length to 1/2 " and tuck that in the hairpiece. There are also nice ones from Revlon, they don't cost a fortune like the Soho brands, you can find them at drug stores like CVS,etc. or in an accessory shop like Claire's, etc. Experiment it's fun...Good Luck, have fun. God Bless, Elle
