I am starting a job as a bank teller and need to wear formal business clothing. What colors are in season for shirts, pants, and ties? Also, what combinations work well together?
Not sure if this will help but I live in NYC, have dirty blond hair, green eyes, and light colored skin.
What is currently in fashion for men when it comes to formal clothing?
Shirts: Blue or Gray button down or Polo (no patterns)
Pants: Black or Gray slacks (usually no pattern unless a small pinstripe)
Ties: Reds, Blues, Grays and Blacks, either 2 bright colors or very simple and blended pattern
Tie Knot: Half-Windsor
Belt: Black with classic silver or gold buckle
Shoes: polished black or loafers
Tuck in your shirts, wear dark colored dress socks if you wear dress shoes and always get a matching jacket or sports coat.

You need a "personal shopper"! Usually slacks and a dress shirt are plenty. Take a hint from the other people already at your bank. Sometimes they have bank shirts so you would have that much less to worry about. Go as basic as possible. I am picturing khaki's and a white dress shirt or the bank-shirt. Good luck!
