mmkay.
so winter formal is comming up and i died my hair in the middle of october and im starting to get roots and i would like not to have roots for winter formal because root sare ugly.
when i died my hair i died it a bark burgandy red-ish color.
after some wear and it turned to be my natural hair color but a little darker and tinted red.
and i sorta would like a change, and i was thinking blonde highlights but would that look akward with my hair color since its like sort of red?
or would it look fine?
or should i dye my hair a brunette color, then get highlights or just go to a blonde-ish color??
opinions, ideas etc are very much appreciated=]

Hair color suggestions please!?
Blonde highlights would be too harsh. If you want more definition, get some chestnut lowlights.

I think blond highlights should be fine. I always try to dye mine darker like a light brown in the Fall and go blond in Spring.
Hair color suggestions please!?
I originally had very dark brown hair, dyed it about a thousand different shades of red, then gave up and bleached it blonde. I love it. Personally, I would recommend going blonde.
Hair color suggestions please!?
I think red is better
Hair color suggestions please!?
um..go to a salon to "WASH OUT" your past hair colors so your hair can absorb the color.....i recommend going chocolate brown w/ wheat lowlights......its cool!!!

I like the color a lot; I'd keep it but if you want some highlights go for strawberry blonde highlights around the face to go with the reddish color rather than a golden or ash blonde; that might be too harsh and could wash out your fair complexion and be damaging to the hair. Plus as other posters said red is hard to get out once its there. A trim on the ends and professional blow dry will freshen it up too before the formal (and don't listen to the losers who say you don't look good-you're pretty! :)
